This is what it means to be a human: we consume experience and then organize it. If the organization seems to fit a pattern, we call that a discovery. And from the discovery, we form a theory. And then we consume some more experiences and see if they match up with the theory. And finally, if our theory predicts a true pattern and not just a series of coincidences, we use it to make something. The people who can do this in the most entertaining way are novelists, scientists, chefs, etc.
